Bakaiti Season 2 understands that family drama can begin with money, a crowded house and too many opinions.
Streaming on Zee 5, Bakaiti Season 2 is a Hindi family comedy-drama. It returns to the Kataria household in Ghaziabad. Here, money problems, relationships and everyday arguments continue to test the family.
The season follows Sanjay Kataria (Rajesh Tailang), who struggles to manage the family’s finances. His daughter Naina (Tanya Sharma) is pursuing her post-graduation in Mumbai. His son Bharat (Aaditya Shukla) is chasing his cricketing ambitions.
Things get more complicated when Sanjay’s brother Ajay (Parvinder Jit Singh) and his wife Alka (Poonam Jangra) move in after their house is affected by flooding. Their arrival leads to fresh disagreements over the family property. Meanwhile, Sushma (Sheeba Chaddha) builds her tailoring business. The younger generation also deals with its own romantic complications.
Tailang and Chaddha are particularly effective. Their chemistry makes Sanjay and Sushma’s marriage feel lived-in and believable. Shukla brings youthful energy and vulnerability to Bharat.
The writing keeps the conflicts rooted in recognisable domestic problems. It avoids forcing unnecessary drama. The screenplay moves briskly across its seven short episodes. However, some conflicts and resolutions feel predictable.
Samar Iqbal’s direction maintains the show’s grounded, slice-of-life tone. The Ghaziabad setting adds to its natural, lived-in feel. The production also avoids excessive polish. This allows the performances and everyday details to remain at the centre.
Should You Watch Bakaiti Season 2?
If you enjoy grounded family dramas, Bakaiti Season 2 is worth a watch. The series does not drastically change its formula. However, strong performances and familiar family situations keep it engaging. The Kataria family’s everyday chaos remains its biggest strength.
