Made In Heaven

Made in Heaven Web Series Review : The Ground Check reality behind the Indian Wedding Business

Amazon Prime released it’s all-new original series “Made In Heaven” & there is no reason for you to not like it!

Crystal clear writing, classy script, bang on dialogues, powerful topics, fabulous performances, perfect music, appropriate setting, clean cinematography & starry guest appearances in every 9, approximately 45 min long episodes.

Big fat Indian weddings are the talk of the town these days & this show takes you to a surprise tour of the behind-the-scenes chaos of it!

Discussions on a girl’s virginity before marriage, betrayal in a relationship & the monetary greed behind it, union of a retired couple, the difficulty & trying times of the LGBTQ community to earn acceptance from family and society. The ancient stint of demanding a Dowry.

When age-old ridiculous Indian superstitions still hold prevalent among highly qualified and educated individuals; patriarchy so deep-rooted that it’s hard to eradicate even today; the aspirations of an Indian father, be it a billionaire or an office boy to marry off her daughter in the most lavish way possible & the pressures that tag along with it; infidelity; the perks of being rich & famous and the backdrops of being born poor but marrying rich; honour killings; finding your one true love (organically of course!) are amazingly shown throughout.

With every episodes unfolding on it’s own pace, Made In Heaven is a change of taste in OTT platform from the much viewed gangster & romantic dramas. Excel Movies & Tiger Baby Production hitting the bullseye yet again with it’s content.

The tagline on Made In Heaven’s Instagram Page says:: “Joie de vivre behind the magical occasion”  meaning “exuberant enjoyment of life”.

Surprise, subtle & clean performance by the two unfamiliar leads, Arjun & Sobhita, it’s really hard to play roles so complex so effortlessly!

The cast also includes seasoned actors like Jim, Kalki, Shashank, Shivani & Vinay Pathak who are adding great layers to the show’s arc. Simply enjoyable!

Last but not least, the direction. Killed it! No words. Not entitled enough to write on it.
